The return of Voice of The Valley

Voice of The Valley returns to print after an absence of more than 11 years with a 25th anniversary issue that pays affectionate tribute to the late Colin Cameron, long-serving Charlton historian and statistician who died on Christmas Day.

Back come a familiar line-up of Voice contributors, alongside Airman Brown's Diary and Henry Irving's resurrected Fifth Column.

Former chief executive Peter Varney, who resigned abruptly from the board last July, breaks his silence since leaving the club with a four-page article (download it below).

He's joined in the 36 pages of the new Voice by supporters Wyn Grant, Ben Hayes, Richard Hunt and Kevin Nolan, as well as Peter Cordwell, the man who positioned the Mercury behind the campaign to return to The Valley in the 1980s.

Supporters' trust interim chair Barnie Razzell explains why it's important that fans sign up as members.

There are also articles about Chris Powell's progress as a manager, the club's finances and the incidents at the Crystal Palace away game, plus a whole lot more.

As ever, the Voice covers the issues that the club can't or won't discuss.
