The ex-Addicks - Where Are The Now 2026

The latest on the on-going careers of the ex-Addicks, as compiled by Simon Matthews.

LOOKING BACK ON 2025-2026

It was the season Piotr Parzyszek returned to south London and scored against Crystal Palace in the UEFA Conference League and Macaulay Bonne appeared three times for Zimbabwe in the Africa Cup of Nations, while, bizarrely, playing in the 8^th tier of UK football for Maldon and Tiptree FC. (He’s improved subsequently: he’s now in the 6^th tier with Billericay Town).    

We might have had as many as eight current and former players in the World Cup but had to settle for three. Both Liam Miller (Canada) and Ezri Konsa (England) had good tournaments and Konsa might have reached the final were it not for Thomas Tuchel’s peculiar tactics. The presence of Lyndon Dykes (Scotland) was less spectacular, with him failing to score in either of his substitute appearances as Scotland were easily eliminated. The subsequent recruitment of Tyler Bindon (three appearances as New Zealand exited) strengthens the squad following Dykes’s departure to Millwall. 

Congratulations to Hull City, their assistant manager Dean Holden, and squad members Miller (again), Semi Ajayi and Dillon Phillips on regaining the Premier League. 

The season and close season saw extraordinary levels of activity, with no fewer than 38 departures and 12 arrivals. This includes U21 squad members on professional contracts, loanees and triallists with an existing professional pedigree. This level of movement says a lot about the game in 2026, as does the swelling number of unattached players.
